Founders and sisters, Jenny Le and Oanh Le created Pho Bowl out of a deep appreciation for community, kindness, and a shared passion for comfort food.
Born in Vietnam, Jenny, Oanh, and her parents left the country in a small wooden boat. Their family was then picked up by the Chinese Navy in 1989 while afloat somewhere in the China Sea. They were then transferred to a refugee camp in China where they stayed for two years before settling in Boston. They moved homes several times, but what stayed constant was the family’s shared love of food and their love for one another, which was expressed through the meals they cooked.
Tossed salad with choice of meat, lettuce, cucumber, carrots. tomatoes and cilantro. Served with house dressing.
Steamed white rice with choice of grilled meat. Served with a small salad and fish or soy sauce on the side.
Rice paper rolls with lettuce and vermicelli with a choice of shrimp, chicken, pork, vegetarian (tofu), or pork and shrimp. Served with fish sauce and pickled vegetables
Steamed vermicelli rice noodles with choice of meat. Served with bean sprouts, lettuce, pickled carrots, cucumber, peanuts and green oinions. Served with fish or soy sauce on the side.
House special spicy caramelized chicken wings served with rice and small salad.
Cubed beef sauteed with broccoli, carrots, onions, bell peppers, and in a light soy sauce. Served on a sizzling platter with white rice.
